We are Vladislav Ivanov and Kremena Ivanova — an artist family based in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria. Since 2000, we’ve been working together as a team, exploring the rich world of ceramic art. Over the years, we’ve gained hands-on experience with a wide range of techniques, clays, and glazes, continually evolving our style and skills.

In 2000, we officially founded Golem Design Studio, turning our shared passion into a full-time artistic venture. Since 2005, we’ve had the pleasure of working with both retail and wholesale clients from the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, and several other countries around the world.

Our journey into the U.S. art and bead scene began in 2007 with our first appearance at To Bead True Blue in Tucson, Arizona. In 2010, we began submitting our work to the prestigious Bead Dreams competition — organized by the team behind Bead & Button Magazine and the Bead & Button Show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin  — where we’ve proudly earned multiple awards. You can learn more about these achievements on our AWARDS page. Unfortunately, both the magazine and the show are no longer around — they weren’t able to survive the challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Living at the crossroads of Europe and Asia has given us a naturally eclectic perspective. Our work reflects a blend of diverse influences — from ancient motifs to modern design — creating a unique style that transcends borders. While our ceramic beads and pendants are not tied to any one national tradition, they carry echoes of the many artistic languages that inspire us.
